WASHINGTON, July 12 (DC Times Online) — Democratic strategist James Carville lashed out at far-left Democrats in a Friday Politicon video, warning that the party could repeat the kind of political damage he associates with 2016 if it embraces insurgent candidates and messaging.

Carville said recent victories by progressive Democrats, including Brad Lander, Darializa Avila Chevalier and Melat Kiros, showed a strain of politics he rejected. He also singled out Michigan candidate Abdul El-Sayed and said the group was “running against both parties.”

“These people are so f—ing stupid I don’t know what to say about it,” Carville said. “You are part of the problem because you’re a f—ing idiot!”

He said Democrats should not “fall for the allure of false prophets” and argued, “It’s not both parties’ faults!”
