WASHINGTON, July 12 (DC Times Online) — The official Senate biography for Sen. Lindsey Graham still described the South Carolina lawmaker in present tense and listed him as chairman of the Budget Committee, while the source material reviewed for this report did not include a confirming death notice.

According to Graham’s Senate biography, he was elected to the Senate in 2002 and began representing South Carolina in 2003. The biography says he was re-elected in 2008, 2014 and 2020.

The same biography lists Graham as chairman of the Senate Budget Committee and a member of the Senate Committees on Appropriations, Judiciary and Environment and Public Works. A Senate office page lists his Washington office at 211 Russell Senate Office Building and also lists an office in Greenville, South Carolina.

Britannica says Graham was born in Seneca, South Carolina, on July 9, 1955, and previously served in the U.S. House from 1995 to 2003.
