CRESTLINE, Calif., July 24 (Inland Empire News Online) — A black bear pushed open the front door of the Crestline Village Water District office in the San Bernardino Mountains on Wednesday afternoon, spent a few minutes inside and left without injuring anyone or causing damage, staff said.

Surveillance video from the district shows the bear entering the office at about 12:15 p.m., standing on its hind legs to open the door and then moving through the lobby and front office area.

Employees said no customers were inside at the time and that no one was in danger. The bear stayed in the lobby for about two minutes, then stepped into the main office area for a few seconds before heading back outside.

An office manager said the bear left nose prints on the doors but did not damage the building. Staff said they watched it walk calmly away and return toward the woods.
