MUNICH, June 15 (World Daily Times) — Changan’s Hunter pickup line is continuing its rollout across markets, but official company materials reviewed by Times Media Service did not include a China-market release confirming reported pricing, trims or specifications for a 2026 Hunter K50.
That leaves drivers and fleet buyers without a verified China price sheet, model lineup or on-sale timeline for the reported 2026 truck. No regulator filing, approval record or manufacturer document confirming those details was included in the materials reviewed.
The clearest official information currently available comes from Changan Motors South Africa, which lists the Hunter as a range-extended pickup already on sale in that market. The company’s South African website says the model uses a 31.2 kWh battery and a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, with combined output of 200 kW and torque of 350 Nm.
The same site lists a towing capacity of 2,200 kilograms and prices the range-extended Hunter from 799,900 rand. It also separately lists diesel Hunter variants from 449,900 rand for a 2.0-liter 2WD model and 569,900 rand for a 2.0-liter 4WD model, each rated at 110 kW and 350 Nm.
For buyers watching the China market, the missing official documents mean key operating details for the reported 2026 Hunter K50 remain unclear, including whether the model represents a new entry trim, a broader lineup change or a market-specific version of the Hunter already sold abroad.
As of the materials reviewed, Changan had not publicly provided the source documents needed to confirm the reported 2026 Hunter K50 launch price in yuan or a full specification list for the China-market truck.
