WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 (Infinite Headlines) — CNN, MS NOW and Politico asked a federal judge on September 28 to keep their White House press credentials in place while their lawsuit against President Donald Trump and White House officials proceeds, according to their court request. The outlets are seeking a preliminary injunction after winning a temporary order restoring access.

U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Kelly issued that order on September 24 in Washington, D.C. It directed the defendants other than Trump to restore employee hard passes revoked on or about September 18. The order lasts 14 days unless the court changes it.

The outlets argue that the revocations violated their First Amendment and due process rights. Kelly granted temporary relief on due-process grounds but had not ruled on their free-speech claim. It was not clear from the available court records whether he had ruled on the September 28 request.
