LAREDO, Texas, June 23 (Del Rio Online) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than 1,100 pounds of suspected methamphetamine at Laredo’s World Trade Bridge after stopping a commercial truck carrying a shipment labeled polypropylene, the agency said.

CBP said the seizure happened Monday, June 15, 2026, after a CBP officer referred a 2013 D-13 Volvo for additional screening at the port of entry.

A canine inspection and a nonintrusive inspection system examination led officers to the drugs, which CBP said weighed 1,100.79 pounds and had a street value of $10,122,012.

CBP seized the narcotics, and Homeland Security Investigations special agents are investigating.
